Car From Boston:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 17. Follow Route 16 West
(Washington Street) about ½ mile until you note a Bread
and Circus supermarket on your right. Turn right onto Crafts Street
immediately before the supermarket. Proceed about 1½ miles
through a residential area. The Scandinavian Living Center is
on your left at the Crafts and Waltham Street traffic light. Turn
left at the traffic light, flick on your left blinker, then turn
left into the Scandinavian Living Center’s driveway as soon
as you’ve rounded the corner onto Waltham Street and passed
the front of our building. Please do not park in the SLC
parking lot. Please park on Waltham Street instead.
From
Route 128 (north or south):Take Exit 21 onto Route 16
East. Follow Route 16 East about 1½ miles until Route 16
crosses over the Massachusetts Turnpike. After you cross the Mass.
Pike, note that you’ve entered West Newton Square, a small
business district. At the first light after crossing the pike,
turn left onto Cherry Street. Then turn right at the first light
onto Webster Street. Proceed about 50 yards to the end of Webster
Street. Turn left onto Waltham Street. Proceed about ¾
mile until you note the campus of the Fessenden School on your
right. The Scandinavian Living Center is immediately adjacent
to and past the Fessenden School property, at a set of traffic
lights, on your right (at the corner of Waltham and Crafts streets).
Turn right into our driveway a few yards before you reach the
traffic light. Please do not park in the SLC parking lot.
Please park on Waltham Street instead.
From
Mass.Turnpike (Interstate 90):You get off the Mass Turnpike
(Interstate 90) BEFORE the toll booth (before 128), at Exit 15.
Look for the Route 30 sign towards "West Newton". On
Route 30 "Commonwealth Avenue", go 3-4 miles. Take a
left turn down Walnut St. Continue on Walnut St until it becomes
Crafts Street (less than 2 miles after leaving Route 30). Please
do not park in the SLC parking lot. Please park on Waltham Street
instead.

Get Here by Public Transportation: Bus From Harvard Square
take bus no. 71, change to bus 59 in Watertown Square, get off
at Crafts St. and walk north about 15 minutes. From Newton Corner
take the 553 or 554 bus to West Newton Square. After getting off
the bus, look for the CVS and take a right on Crafts Street. To
the left of Crafts Street is Lumiere. Follow the directions for
Train.TrainFrom South Station, take the Worcester/Framingham line
to West Newton station. Once you are at West Newton square, a
small business district, take a left at Crafts Street. On your
left will be the restaurant Lumiere and on the right will be CVS.
Walk up Crafts Street for 15 minutes until you see the Scandinavian
Living Center on your right. The Library is located behind the

Public Transportation:
Eliot is most easily accessed with busses that
stop at 400 Centre Street, about a 3 minute walk to the church.
The MBTA bus routes that stop here include: 504 Downtown Copley
or Watertown Copley, 553/554 Downtown via Turnpike, 556 Newton
Corner, 558 Downtown, and 57 Kenmore. Upon exiting the bus (facing
away from the Turnpike) walk to your right about 150 yards (around
the assisted living facility), and take a left (on Centre St.)
Eliot is on the next block, to your left.
The nearest T station is Newton Center on the Green line about
2 miles from Eliot farther up Centre Street. From here take the
52 Watertown Square via Parker bus that stops at 400 Centre Street.
Driving:
Park on streets surrounding the Church. There
is ample street parking. Please do not use the Church lot. Enter
Church through doors from the parking lot.
Mass Pike (Rt 90) Eastbound: Take Exit 17. At
the top of the ramp, take a right at the stop light, on to Centre
Street. Eliot Church is on the left at the first intersection,
at the northeast corner of Centre and Church Street.
Mass Pike westbound: Take Exit 17 - at the top
of the ramp, stay to the left, heading to Newton. Go left around
the hotel in the center of the roundabout. On the south side of
the roundabout, take a right at the intersection on to Centre
Street (heading toward Newton Centre). Eliot Church is on the
left at the first set of lights.
From the South: From the VFW parkway take Dedham
Street Westbound. Take a right onto Parker Street, cross Route
9 and take a right onto Centre Street in Newton Center. Continue
down Centre Street and Eliot will be on the right at the intersection
of Centre and Church Streets.
From the North: Eliot is most easily accessed
taking Galen Street South where it intersects Route 20 in Watertown
Center. Continue Southbound until the road ends at the entrance
to the Turnpike. Take a right, and go left around the hotel in
the center of the roundabout. On the south side of the roundabout,
take a right at the intersection on to Centre Street (heading
toward Newton Centre). Eliot Church is on the left at the first
set of lights.

This is a separate building located behind the hospital. Enter
the hospital grounds at the set of lights on Washington Street.
Drive past the parking garage – Allen Riddle is the red
brick building on your left. Drive past the building. Parking

Travel Route 9 East. Drive past the Atrium Mall (on right) and
past the Chestnut Hill Mall (on left). Boylston Place is the tall
red brick building on Rt. 9 across from the Container Store/Star
Market/CVS Shopping Center. There will be a set of lights at the
intersection of Rt. 9 and Tully St. Make a right onto Tully St.
there will be a parking lot on your right (this is for the shopping
plaza so you could get ticketed if you park there). The entrance
to Boylston Place is on the left hand side of the street on Tully
St. The building is not well marked, but you can't miss it on
your left. Park along Tully St or in the shopping center parking
lot across Rte. 9, from Boylston Place.
From the East (Brookline, Boston):
Take Route 9 West to Chestnut Hill. You will see a CVS/Star Market/
Container Store in a shopping mall on your right. Get in the left
lane and turn left onto Tully St.

Take exit 15 for I-95/Route 128 and Route 30. After the toll proceed straight for Route 30. Turn right at end of the ramp, and then right again at first traffic light onto Route 30. Turn left at next traffic light onto River Road. Follow this for 1.5 miles, where it turns into South Street. Go past Brandeis University. Continue about 1/4 mile and take a right on Longview Avenue. Follow signs, bearing left around parking garage, to entrance for Children's Hospital at Waltham.
From I-95/Route 128 Southbound:
Take exit 24 for Route 30. At end of ramp, proceed through traffic light (across Route 30). This is River Road (River Road becomes South Street). Go past Brandeis University, which is two miles ahead. Continue about 1/4 mile and take a right on Longview Avenue. Follow signs, bearing left around parking garage, to entrance for Children's Hospital at Waltham.
From I-95/Route 128 Northbound:
Take exit 24 for Route 30. Route 30 is one of several options at this exit, so follow signs carefully. Turn left at the top of the ramp onto Route 30. Turn right at the traffic lights. This is South Street, travel two miles and pass Brandeis University. Continue about 1/4 mile and take a right on Longview Avenue. Follow signs, bearing left around parking garage, to entrance for Children's Hospital at Waltham.
Parking is available in a free parking garage next to the hospital.
Directions to Deveber Conference Room: Enter Building at 9 Hope Avenue. Enter Lobby and pass to the right of the Security/Information desk, then turn right down the hallway. Pass by Eaton Apothecary and continue until you see a sign up high that says East Wing and Medical Office Building with arrows pointing right. Turn right here down a long hallway. Just before entering the Medical Office Building, turn left and you will see 2 elevators straight ahead marked 9 East and 10 East elevators. Take either elevator to floor L. Exit elevator and Deveber is straight ahead. When leaving, take elevator to 3 to get back to the floor where the Lobby is located.
Directions to Flashner Conference Rooms A,B,C: Enter building at 9 Hope Ave and go into the lobby. Pass to the right of the information/security desk. Turn right down the hallway, passing by a bank of elevators on your right. Soon after the elevators, turn right down the first corridor that you see. At this corrider there will be a sign for the Conference Center. Follow corridor and take a left down a hallway to enter the Flashner conference Center. There are 3 Flashner conference rooms A,B,C, all labeled.
