What's Next?
Are you trying to decide whether to continue or stop infertility treatment with your own gametes? Are you considering moving on to another path? Learn how to arrive at a decision even when as a couple, you may not be on the same page. Explore resolutions that include resolving without parenting and the family building options of egg donation and adoption.
This program will give you a chance to meet people who have made these choices and who will share what they learned along the way. The donor egg and adoption portion will not cover the “how-tos," costs, or details of these options, but will provide some insight into the important issues to consider, helping you decide if they may be right for you.

meet a couple who, after pursuing infertility treatment and facing a major health issue, embraced living as a family of two. Learn how they came to this decision and how they are successfully living out their choice. With Anna and Joe Koon

3, 2:15 - 3:30 p.m. - The Egg Donation Option
An overview of emotional and ethical issues to consider when choosing egg donation as a way to build your family. Issues to be addressed are: the considerations of using a known or anonymous donor, the child’s right to know about his/her origins, when and how to talk about their conception, who to tell and how to tell others about this family building choice. 4, 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. - The Adoption Option
The focus will be on how to make the “emotional leap” to adoption and things to think about when considering this choice. This session includes a brief overview of each type of adoption: domestic, DCF, and international adoption options. Learn from the experiences of a panel of adoptive parents.
